Independent snow and weather reporting from the Nozawa Onsen region of Nagano

New snowfall at base 9cm
Snowfall at base this season 790cm

Posted on Friday 15th February 2019 This is an archived report. The latest Nozawa Now report can be found here.

I'm up for first tracks this morning (in the name of research for good reporting of course), so it's an early report. There's cloud around at the start of the day but there's sun shining down on the upper slopes as well. It is very cold again. I reckon it's going to be a fine day and expect some sun and blue skies.

About 10cm of fresh snow to report since yesterday morning, most of that during the day yesterday.

We'll be getting snowed on once again tomorrow, less so on Sunday and then things due to get a little warmer early week.

Have a great day wherever you might be!
