Chocolate fondue!
Yes, that's why people are flocking to Nozawa today. At 10:30am on the Hikage area the ski resort will be handing out some free chocolate fondue, whatever that actually is. Sounds good though. And even ladies can have some, it's not just for the blokes. (See: Japan Valentines Day tradition). And I would guess that our favourite skiing Nozawa mascot, who just so happens to be a friendly and bright green vegetable, will also be making an appearance. Though that bit is unconfirmed. Limited amount of chocolate fondue, so don't tell everyone...
Oh, you want some snow news too?!
About 10cm overnight and more during the day yesterday, so a nice fresh layer. It is keeping cold and it is keeping snowing but I wouldn't expect much out of today and there might be some clearer skies tomorrow.
Fresh snowfall reported by the ski resort (since yesterday 3pm):
- Yamabiko (1407m): 11cm
- Uenotaira (1230m): 10cm
- Hikage (660m): 10cm
- Nagasaka (615m): 15cm
- Karasawa (563m): 5cm

- Hikage (660m): 210cm
