Independent snow and weather reporting from the Nozawa Onsen region of Nagano

New snowfall at base 18cm
Snowfall at base this season 757cm

Posted on Wednesday 13th February 2019 This is an archived report. The latest Nozawa Now report can be found here.

The snow clouds remain over us. Overnight the resort is reporting 5-10cm and adding to the snow that they reported during the day yesterday that makes generally around 20cm of fresh. I have measured 18cm myself since my report yesterday.

Light snow is forecast for today and tomorrow and it seems we have a chance of clearer skies on Friday.

It is keeping cold and let us hope that continues. Cold is good - we can always add a layer to cope with that and it's great for the snow conditions.

Anyway, time to put on my skis! Have a good one.
