New snowfall at base 19cm
Snowfall at base this season 260cm
Posted on Tuesday 10th January 2023 This is an archived report. The latest Nozawa Now report can be found here.
Good morning from Nozawa.
15-20cm fresh snow reported by the ski area this morning and it is still snowing, hopefully for most of the day today.
Limited to poor visibility and some windy conditions on the mountain. Lifts are moving at reduced speed due to the wind and there may be some stoppages.
Can hardly see anything on the Hikage webcam. (It looks like Naski isn't out there, perhaps taking a rest today!)
Sun and fine weather is forecast for tomorrow and the next few days. Friday and Saturday is going to be warm (nearly 10C at base kind of warm, with rain - not great).
But it's good to see some more snow incoming beyond that on Sunday. :)
