Good morning from Niseko.
Fine and/but hazy probably best describes the weather this morning. It's certainly bright.
More cloud and possibly some rain is due over the weekend. Let's hope we can keep the latter to a minimum.
Some people asked if the ski areas will be able to open until the planned closing date of 7th May. No word yet from either of the two ski areas that remain open on that, and I'll let you know if and when there are any announcements.
Snow has been melting from the lower area of Hanazono quite quickly now. There's also a big digger machine transporting gondola cabins to their resting place. (Presumably. I don't think it's a naughty thieving digger machine).
