Snowfall at base this season 1006cm

Good morning from Niseko.

It's not great weather this morning with a lot of fog around as well as the rain, and some wind too.

The United website shows all lifts closed right now, but I am currently in Hanazono and I can see people getting on the lift and people skiing down the slope. I'm not sure what is going on there, some kind of website hiccup.

In ski area news, Annupuri have decided to open their Dream quad at base until Sunday.

There are now just a few more days now for the Hanazono, Village and Moiwa ski areas. From Monday, we should be down to just Hirafu and Annupuri remaining open.

We may still have quite a while to go, but it sure feels like we are in the last part of the season. Gives everything a bit of a 'chill' feel which can certainly be appealing. Right now though, I think lots of us would probably just like some nice sunny spring weather!
