Independent snow and weather reporting from the Myoko region of Niigata
New snowfall at base 13cm
Snowfall at base this season 1355cm
Posted on Tuesday 7th March 2017 This is an archived report. The latest Myoko Now report can be found here.
The snow is back, and a little more than the prefecture's forecast of 10cm. Some wind, as usual when the wind changes and the snowy weather blows in, and a bit of drifting. But it's nice to have things white again (it was getting pretty dirty along the roads. My car is shocking; don't lean against it).
Looks like the snow will continue for several days now, maybe not a whole lot every day, but bit by bit works well, too. Easier to keep up with than that three meters in less than two weeks that we got in January. Winter's not completely dead yet...
