Independent snow and weather reporting from the Myoko region of Niigata
New snowfall at base 3cm
Snowfall at base this season 173cm
Posted on Wednesday 6th January 2016 This is an archived report. The latest Myoko Now report can be found here.
It's an early morning today, so the report goes out with only two resorts having submitted their info for the day (thank you, Ikenotaira and Akakura Onsen!).
A little bit of good news: maybe three cm of fresh snow this morning (the less good is that things seem pretty bright out there, with sun likely).
But things are looking a little better over the coming days and into the weekend, with snow on the forecast pretty much every day, even if not all heavy. And it's a bit colder, too.
We're not going to dwell on it, but look ahead! It can only get better at this point.
