Independent snow and weather reporting from the Myoko region of Niigata

New snowfall at base 20cm
Snowfall at base this season 910cm

Posted on Sunday 31st January 2021 This is an archived report. The latest Myoko Now report can be found here.

A little more snow overnight, and the snowfall is picking up as we go to press. Or screen. There's no good term for this, is there.... More snow falling now.

It was pretty windy earlier in the morning, with some blowing snow, but that seems to have tapered off a bit, although there still is a breeze coming in, now from the north.

This is a day for those of us who think bluebird days are overrated; get your helmet and goggles on, get all bundled up and go ski in some nice, deep stuff....
