Independent snow and weather reporting from the Myoko region of Niigata

New snowfall at base 25cm
Snowfall at base this season 935cm

Posted on Monday 1st February 2021 This is an archived report. The latest Myoko Now report can be found here.

Running a little later than usual today, because I skied the best powder I can remember in years yesterday, got off the mountain rather late and then spent an evening clearing out all the snow that fell through the day yesterday.

So I'm tired, slightly dehydrated and very happy on this bluebird day.

Should still be great snow out on the mountain for a while until that sun warms things up. And, of course, always good on the resorts.
