Independent snow and weather reporting from the Myoko region of Niigata

New snowfall at base 10cm
Snowfall at base this season 732cm

Posted on Friday 26th February 2016 This is an archived report. The latest Myoko Now report can be found here.

Snow is forecast for later in the day, but right now it's sunny and nice out there.

We got an extra 10cm or so through the day yesterday, so white cars and blue skies to start Friday.

Some really nice conditions reported yesterday, especially in the side/backcountry. Nice to see people enjoying some genuine powder. It's also a cold cold morning, following that clear sky overnight.

I have to run early this morning, so all old reports are marked with an *.
