More snow and more snow.
The snow walls in this area are now officially crazy; got a call from one of the head guys of our little ku, or local district, warning about the cornices that are forming at the top of the walls and falling off, blocking traffic. The monster rotary plows that finish up the morning, following the pusher plows, don't have cutters (big vertical bars) that go up that high.... So the walls are nice and straight and now, thanks to the wind, topped with cornices. I figure the snow is about 6 meters deep around my house now, because I can pretty much stand on them and be most of the way up the big cherry trees that line my yard. And it's still snowing.
The Akakura resorts are now near five meters, which would be a record for your reporter, I am pretty sure (and I've been banging these reports out for a long time. I forget how long, in fact....)
