Independent snow and weather reporting from the Myoko region of Niigata

New snowfall at base 30cm
Snowfall at base this season 1346cm

Posted on Thursday 19th February 2015 This is an archived report. The latest Myoko Now report can be found here.

The snow is falling today; not a huge amount overnight, but a decent amount all the same and it seems likely to pick up through the day. Enjoy while you can!

High pressure is moving in to make a sunny Saturday, and then things get really warm (and the rain may fall).

Otherwise, things are looking good in Myoko; the crowds have thinned a bit, so it's a little easier to get a seat in a local restaurant - not complaining about the increased number of international customers, mind you...
