Independent snow and weather reporting from the Myoko region of Niigata

New snowfall at base 20cm
Snowfall at base this season 1316cm

Posted on Monday 16th February 2015 This is an archived report. The latest Myoko Now report can be found here.

The wind and snow are gone, and blue skies and sun are here again.

After a day fighting with snow and blasted by wind, it is nice to have a good clear view of the mountains.

Enjoy it while it lasts; low pressure is moving in; there's a band of dark clouds out over the ocean, and snow should be back on by tomorrow at the latest.
