Independent snow and weather reporting from the Myoko region of Niigata

New snowfall at base 3cm
Snowfall at base this season 13cm

Posted on Thursday 17th December 2015 This is an archived report. The latest Myoko Now report can be found here.

Not that much to report except that there is in fact snow on the ground this morning. Not much, now; don't get too excited just yet, as nice as that white stuff looks. MAYBE three centimeters at the base of Akakan... But there is more predicted for later in the day, and it is colder than it's been so far. I hear that the managers from some of the local ski areas went over to Togakushi to get some divine intervention. Well, it is known as a power spot, and it is snowing now, so can't complain.
