Independent snow and weather reporting from the Myoko region of Niigata

New snowfall at base 10cm
Snowfall at base this season 1513cm

Posted on Sunday 15th March 2015 This is an archived report. The latest Myoko Now report can be found here.

It's another bluebird day in Myoko - although yesterday those blue skies turned to impenetrable, soupy fog by lunchtime. Literally visibility of 5 meters or less. A little snow also fell, which was nice—probably 10cm of extra, just to keep things pristine.

Today looks much more likely to remain sunny and nice; a high-pressure system has definitely moved in, the winds are down, and it is warm in the sun.

It's going to get much warmer ahead, so today would be a good day to get into the snow and enjoy some pre-slop soft snow.
