Independent snow and weather reporting from the Myoko region of Niigata

New snowfall at base 10cm
Snowfall at base this season 1503cm

Posted on Saturday 14th March 2015 This is an archived report. The latest Myoko Now report can be found here.

The day started really nicely today, with some fresh snow and beautiful blue, clear skies.

It's clouded up a bit through the morning, with a bit of wind coming up as well. Still a nice day to get out on that fresh snow (...won't be that many more!).

I'm out in the area today (there's a new cat ski operation at the former Arai resort; hopefully something we can report on next season!), so I can't read the town's snow report, but it's pretty much the same as yesterday, plus 10cm of fresh.
