Independent snow and weather reporting from the Myoko region of Niigata

New snowfall at base 3cm
Snowfall at base this season 1000cm

Posted on Thursday 14th March 2024 This is an archived report. The latest Myoko Now report can be found here.

After a day of snowfall—and it was pretty wet, dense snow—and a brief period early in the morning with some pretty strong winds, we're back to blue skies, sun and a breeze coing in from the southwest today. Pretty good snowpack, now, though; looks like we'll make it to the end of the season (which is coming fast!) with plenty of snow.

Only Lotte Arai is running into spring, but more on the season-end information in a week or so.

Early morning today, so a lot of the reports are going to be yesterday's news. Still pretty cold, so the temperatures should be about the same as yesterday.
