Independent snow and weather reporting from the Myoko region of Niigata

New snowfall at base 14cm
Snowfall at base this season 352cm

Posted on Wednesday 11th January 2023 This is an archived report. The latest Myoko Now report can be found here.

Clear and cold today, after a nice storm that brought us about 50cm of solid, fresh snow (nice, but not super light).

Happy to say that all the resorts have got reports up, although I am reporting a little later than usual. Or that I want, but it's the busy season!

It will be very interesting to see what happens over the next few days as unseasonably warm weather rolls in. Very spring like, possibly, tomorrow and Friday. Then heavy snow again afterward? Watching the forecasts is pretty interesting this year....
