You think the snow can’t fall any faster, or in bigger quantities, and then we get a morning like today. It was really coming down in big, beautiful flakes last night; this morning it’s a downpour of snow with a bit of wind as well, even some whiteout gusts.
I suspect it’s pretty windy at Lotte Arai, where only one lift is listed as running.
Great snow, but really loose and unconsolidated. Good time to be extra careful when heading into the deeps; the danger of sluffing snow and self-burial is pretty high.
But it should be great fun as well, so find that good balance and enjoy what we think is some of the best (and most) snow in the world.
