Independent snow and weather reporting from the Furano region of Hokkaido

New snowfall at base 1cm
Snowfall at base this season 601cm

Posted on Sunday 7th February 2016 This is an archived report. The latest Furano Now report can be found here.

Good morning from Furano where there's just a dusting of new snow since the last report - 1cm measured.

It doesn't seem like the forecast winds have come through as it is calm early on with not even the hint of a breeze.

The whole area is just blue sky and plenty of sunshine. That forecast still says that we might see some snow later on today even though it doesn't look like it now - but we know how easily things can change.

Right now though it looks like a perfect Sunday to me, I hope you can get to enjoy it.

The next decent snow forecast is for around Tuesday and Wednesday.
