Posted on Saturday 28th January 2017 This is an archived report. The latest Furano Now report can be found here.

The forecasted snow did arrive yesterday and has delivered 22cm of new snow at village level. There was about an hour of rain at base late afternoon yesterday as temperatures were warm. We are back to winter temps this morning, and although the new snow is a bit heavy on the lower mountain it will be better the higher you go. It is currently snowing moderately so expect varied visibility. Take care.
