The new week has been welcomed in by a nice dump of new snow. The village has received 10cm overnight and we expect even more to have fallen up on the mountain. This is different snow than the regular light Furano powder, having a higher moisture content, and is exactly what is needed to help bulk up the base on the lower mountain. More snow is forecast for today and tomorrow. Early season is looking great.

Furano Ropeway is open 8:30-14:40 for access to the upper mountain and the skiable lift is Furano Romance lift 2 open 8:45-15:00. At the moment the skiing is restricted to the upper mountain and to return to base it is necessary to use Furano Ropeway.
