New snowfall at base 5cm
Snowfall at base this season 25cm
Posted on Saturday 18th November 2017 This is an archived report. The latest Furano Now report can be found here.
The snow continues! Light snow continued through yesterday and it is still snowing. A further 5cm has accumulated on the ground since the last report so the village is now a solid blanket of white. Snow is forecast continuously through until next Wednesday. Wednesday is down for a rain event at base level, but the upper mountain at least should see snow instead of the rain. All looking very good for an opening in a week.
The resort has a tentative opening date of 25 November 2017 subject to conditions.
