Snowfall at base this season 29cm

Here's a quick update on the conditions in Furano. Soon after yesterday's report the snow changed to rain, and it rained moderately through the afternoon. This has had some impact on the lower slopes but the upper slopes look like they were hit with snow rather than rain. This morning the village awoke to some very light snow and freezing temperatures. The snow has continued through to the current time (midday), and although light, is accumulating nicely on the ground.
The resort has a tentative opening date of 25 November 2017 subject to conditions.
