New snowfall at base 10cm
Snowfall at base this season 20cm
Posted on Friday 17th November 2017 This is an archived report. The latest Furano Now report can be found here.
Snow news is good news and I have just been out and measured 10cm of fresh snow which fantastic. It is currently snowing lightly and the flakes are pretty large and light for this time of year. The snow is predicted to continue at least until midday, and then over the weekend there will be continuous snow that should leave a decent amount on the upper slopes at least. All this bodes well for the resort's opening date in little over a weeks time.
The resort has a tentative opening date of 25 November 2017 subject to conditions.
