Ocean11 0
It seems they need a constitutional amendment to clear things up for them. It's clearly needed so that gormless civil servants don't get horribly confused.
Plucky 0
This is taking place in the town where I went to college. Don't believe the line in the article where they claim "Benton County, whose county seat is Corvallis, is home to Oregon State University and is seen as a bastion of liberalism." They missed the mark by 35 miles and are probably mixing Corvallis up with Eugene. The university is a land grant school and Benton County is known as the grass seed capital of the world, ie, tons of ag land which usually doesn't equate to a liberal-thinking population. There are also a bunch of mormons who aren't the most free-thinking people in the world. Just thought I'd clear that up The county commissioners are usually known for being very uptight and making bad choices. Looks like some new people got elected since I left. I like what they've done though. If marriage equallity cannot be upheld, then screw ya all and ban marriage for everyone!
