A Very Boring Man 0
I'm going on a trip down to Tokyo next week and need to get some omiyage for the office and stuff. Thats ok, just I dont know what the heck to get. Any recommendations for good "famous" stuff from the region? Cheers

damian 0
In Nara I found a shop that had two Samurai helmets. They were quite interesting and enquired as to the ikura. The helmet that was about 200 years old was 50 man. The one that was about 500 years old and had a bullet hole in it (yeah, right) was 80 man. It was a little worse for wear as a farmer had found it buried in the mud in his rice field. The shop keep produced a book that indeed confirmed the age of the helmets by way of pictures and text that was dutifully translated by mine friend. Take your pick.

cheeseman 1
Cheese always makes for a good souvenir if available. Not only is it nutritious and delicious, but fun for all. And so will always be a big hit.
