montoya 0
Today caught a story from back home in SF, it kinda reminded me that there are in fact some good things about Japan... 35 homicides in SF this year already? Jeeesh.. ------------- http://sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/gate/archive/2004/05/18/safeway18.DTL San Francisco police report that a shooting at a Safeway parking lot this afternoon is now being investigated by homicide detectives. Police say they have little information about the victim at this point, except that he and another male were sitting in a car in the parking lot outside the supermarket at Fillmore and Eddy streets at about 1 p.m. and were approached by two other males who opened fire. The male sitting in the car with the victim fled the scene, according to police. Police spokesman Dewayne Tully said that an early report indicated a drive-by shooting might have occurred. A crowd of up to 200 people gathered after the gunfire was heard, but Tully said he did not know how many people might have been nearby when the incident began. This is San Francisco's 35th homicide of the year, according to police records
