Recommended Posts

A new Interview feature, "An Interview with Kurt Tierney from Tierney Rides", has been put online.

"The Tierney Rides T-board is the wheeled board chosen by the U.S. and Canadian national snowboard teams as a cross trainer. But besides its value in maintaining off-season snowboarding skills, the T-board is also well-known among longboard and skateboard enthusiasts as a ride with a difference. Tierney have generously provided SnowJapan.Com with two T-boards, one for the Department of Testing and Review, and one for a giveaway."

As well as the Interview, there is also a chance for SnowJapan.Com readers to win a brand new T-board. Check out the article for more details.

Please note that the views expressed in any Features on Snow Japan are not necessarily those of Snow Japan.

Reffering to that chart, we ride freebords at up to 50 mph (converts to more in kph). It will be up to 80% as fast as a longboard or dirtsurfer on the same hill, due to wheel size. The main difference is that you are not just straightlining, but carving, sliding, stopping or powersliding even at incredible speed. The trucks do not 'oscillate' side to side like carveboard or flowlab because you are only on one edge at a time and you have to delibrately switch between them. What kind of wobble are you getting?
