It seems to me that many Japanese use the word "homepage" and aren't really aware of "website", which gets confusing when you're talking about the first "home"page of a site etc. Link to post Share on other sites

montoya 0 Posted October 5, 2004 Share Posted October 5, 2004 "home-page" to indicate the whole website was the norm about 5-6 years ago in Japan (at least from the clients I worked with). The more sophisticated term now used is "webu-saito". If it is for the mobile platform (eg i-mode, Vodaphone), it becomes "mobairu-saito"... Anyway, if they are still obstinate, just refer to the "home-page" as the "toppu-page". Link to post Share on other sites
