mattlucas 0
There is some good skiing at the back of that valley. Some nice narrow couloirs or mellow open slopes. I've been up that valley to climb the big peaks a load of times Only twice with skis though. Good spring skiing. Take a bike with you if you go in late spring and you can cut a load of walking along the fairly flat road I wouldn't go up there until May though. You have to cross some serious slide paths. Some of the debris was at least 20 metres deep. Taken from just a little bit lower than your shot in early June last year. Looking the same direction though

The Takayama Tearer 0
yep. The first shot was in late autumn (before snow) and pleasent weather, I attempted kasa the next week in very bad weather by myself and made it to the ridge, but HAD to turn back...it was too cold and no visibility (actually there were some lives lost that day). My local connection reckons the back hike up to Kagami down to shin hodaka is SAFE after winter. But heavily avalanche prone in the winter. The snow here is melting out now, and spring conditions are arriving. I hope they open the Nori road earlier than usual.
tsondaboy 0
Just be careful anytime you go out this year m8, even in spring. The snow pack is really messed up this year and anything can slide giver the right conditions.
