jalvemo 0
Yeah, I'm geard up on those things. I have, helmet, full back protection, the r.e.d impact shorts, knee pads. They are all good stuff, and can really save you ass on the rails some times... I've tried to ride with wrist things, but I didnt like it one bit. I felt so stiff. And you couldn't really grab the board as you wanted. + the break an arm intead thing. But not many of the japanese people that I see in the have helmets. how come? not cool enough? joshnii 2
There just doesn't seem to be any push to get people to wear helmets. Heck, in the local shops around here, they either don't sell them or just one or two. Not surprising people aren't using them.
merryJim 1
Got a helmet this last weekend but thats about it re: protection. You're right there are so few helmet wearers here. See a helmet and you can go up to the guy and talk English, good chance they are gaijin! I never even knew about these wrist guard things.
SirJibAlot 0
merryJim, If you board, wrist guards advisable. If you ski, no worries - but the helmet is good for all. -SJA
