Peter North 0
For those who have done it, how long do you say it would normally take from Nerima to Shinshu Nakano IC (for getting to Nozawa/Shiga Kogen)? About 3.5 hours? Thanks
fukdane 2
About that I think, maybe a bit faster depending on conditions and of course speed.
tsondaboy 0
You will have to go by the 5:30 rule to estimate the time it will take. If you are at Nerima IC before 5:30 in the morning, then depending on your speed and road conditions it will probably take you 2.5 to 3 hours. If you are at Nerima IC after 5:30 it might take you more than 6. The problematic part is between Nerima IC and the Fujioka junction. The Kanetsu highway splits to the part that goes towards Nagano and to the part towards Niigata. The part towards Nagano is usually ok even when the Kanetsu is packed with traffic, the problem is how to get there. Sometimes when I go towards Nozawa, I go on the 17 national road till the Fujioka IC and get on the highway there. It’s about 100 km from Tokyo so it takes 1.5 to 2 hours till there, but if you get stacked on the Kanetsu it might take you more than 3. Before you get on Nerima IC there are several enouncement boards saying what’s the traffic status on Kanetsu. If it says more that 10 km, then go straight on the Kannana or Kanpachi dori and get on the 17 national road.
BagOfCrisps 24
It seems very difficult to give a time for driving to places because of the conditions. There should be a minimum and average time quoted. I bet all the resorts go with the totally miminum time hey?
