BURTON 0
Hey guys, I'm a Vancouver native and so I've obviously been spoled rotten. Am I out of luck if I'm looking to ride as often as i'd like to this winter? I'm moving to Fukuoka next month. Am I going to be forced to make the trips to Nagano, Niigata, and Hokkaido if I want anything decent?

rach 1
I didn't think Niseko was near Fukuoka.
bushpig 0
Nothing mate. The nearest semi-decent (big stress on semi) place that many Fukuoka locals make weekend trips to is Mizuho in Shimane or Geihoku in Hiroshima. Not fantastic, but decent enough if you have to scratch that itch evrey now and then without forking out the cash to get up to Nagano or further. Both places give Niseko a run for it's money too! gamera 0
Burton - Maybe Daisen (Tottori pref.) is bigger than other places around there, but if you go there by train or by car, maybe you can fly over Hokkaido in 2.5 hours, I think.
bushpig 0
nup, sorry Gam, Daisen isn't anywhere near as good or big (resort, not mountain) as Mizuho. Skiable area is quite small unfortunately, and not worth the extra effort and cost to get to.
