leigh 0
Hi all, I am planning my first trip to Japan and will be getting about on the Rail pass. I have heard that you can get courier companies to ship luggage from the airport. Is this possible, cheap, a good idea or more hassle than it is worth? Or is it easy enough to get your boards/luggage around on the trains and buses? I would like to spend a few days in Nozawa Onsen and/or Hakuba. Thanks
big-will 7
hashbrown. Welcome. Do a search on these forums (link above near top right) for the word "takyubin", which is the excellent delivery service in Japan. Very reliable and very fast.
tsondaboy 0
Hi there, welcome onboard There are quite a few currier companies in Japan, most famous being “Kuroneku yamato” and “Sagawa transport”. Both of them have brunches in Narita airport In terminal 1: http://www.narita-airport.jp/en/guide/service/list/svc_05_t1.html In terminal 2: http://www.narita-airport.jp/en/guide/service/list/svc_05_t2.html It costs about 1600 yen to ship 1 snowboard or pair of skis anywhere in Japan and depending on the distance takes 1- 3 day to be delivered.
