But there is a telemark festival at Lake Tazawako Ski resort West of Morioka this weekend (Jan 14th, 15th and 16th). I will be going up from Kitakami on Sat am if anyone wants a ride from Kitakami Stn. I will come back on Sun. I havent been to this event before but I expect there will be a bunch of freeheelers. If you are interested going to the festival this weekend or just general tele skiing around tohoku contact me at cameronhartley@gmail.com. TAJ will hold a powder clinic in Niseko on the 11-13 Feb. and there backcountry fest on the 5-6 March in Niigata prefecture Seki hot spring ski site.
