I went to Himaraya and Sportaka where the staff had no idea what I was talking about and also had no clue as to where a serious mountain sports supplier was located. Link to post Share on other sites

I am not sure if they have a store in teh Kansai region but they are 100% dedicated mountain explore shop. They have Ortovox beacons, Back Country Shovels, snow shoes etc. But you are better off getting from here. www.rei.com Cheaper on the wallet and a much bigger selection of makers.
