travel from hakuba to myoko kogen/shiga kogen

Hi could someone pls tell me if it easy and worthwhile to do a day trip to either myoko kogen or shiga kogen from Hakuba,

I leave for japan in a few weeks its gonna be my first trip.

Hi there

 

It is about 1 hour from Hakuba to Nagano.

It's about 1 hour from Nagano to Shiga Kogen, bit less from Nagano to Myoko.

This is all by car/bus though there'll be connection delays with buses I suppose.

Will you be driving?

yeah was thinking of the bus, dunno how easy it is driving in japan with the road signs and all, got the directions on that link you posted looks tricky.

might see if other people at the hotel I will be staying at would be keen might try split the cost of car rental and petrol.

contact Amy at Myoko tourist office she put us on the kenian bus for a transfer between Shiga & Hakuba

there is a direct bus from Hakuba to Shiga Kogen it leaves 7:30 in the morning and arrives at Shiga Kogen at 9:30. and the same times the other way. There is no return on the same day so you would have to stay one night in Shiga.
