DoubleBombardino 0
Hi all - first post and very pleased (and a tad smug ) to say am heading to Niseko for 7 days skiing in late Jan 2013 and cannot wait for that. Then I have luxury of another 2+ weeks in Japan. Plan is to get a 2 week train pass, ski a resort on Honshu for 3ish days within that time, and do some sightseeing... Piste skiing with a bit of powder prospects would be good, ideally a resort that is more Japanese than international (ie looking for a contrast to Niseko) and accessible via train. More about the experience than obsessed about size/steepness of slopes. Any suggestions? thanks v much

grungy-gonads 54
Places like Zao is 30 minutes bus from the station. Some places, like those in Yuzawa, are 0-5 minutes from the station. Is that kind of thing important to you?
