pie-eater 207
The good news to start the day. Check this out From The Sweeney, in the 70's. The bloke on the left was 33, the bloke on the right was 27! They both look 10+ more than that, ne? It's true though, people in the 70's looked older than same ages do now. Scientifically proven (above). So not everything is globs-of-green-goo sad stories! best skier in hakuba 5
Often thought that when watching some old flicks and tv shows.
grungy-gonads 54
Minder boy looks mid 40's there! Hair sure didn't help.
Chriselle 158
No way........those dudes have got to be older than that. 50 something and mid 40's I'd guess.
pie-eater 207
Yes way! Waterman was 27-29 years old when The Sweeney was made
Chriselle 158
Well....too much bourbon, smokes and fish and chips then.. Agreed that the hair, clothes and grainy orange hued film didn't help. 70's movie music was pretty atrocious, too. TV music was REALLY special.... Just skip to the 55 sec mark for a sonic treat.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dui7ffx8-4I
HelperElfMissy 42
It doesn't hold true for everyone, but I do agree that people seem to hold thier youthful looks better and longer these days. Is it due to creams, lotions and potions? Botox? Or just better dress and grooming sense? Is there a mental component? People generations ago seemed to happily accept shifting into a set pattern of expectations for thier age group as they aged. I often say I wont be aging gracefully, but rather sliding in sideways doing the fist pump.
big-will 7
I blame brown and grey everything. As well as sideburns and haircuts (or lack of them). Oh yes and the brass section getting out of control too.
ProbablyaCrazyPerson 2
Brown and grey seems to be the "uniform" of pensioners here. Back home, they seem to often be much more colorful!
