mlabesse 0
Hi everyone, Between the 15th and the 19th of November 2011 I'll stay in Narita (near Tokyo). From there I'd like to make a snowboard trip! My question is: Do you know if there are any ski resorts open yet and what is the closest place to ski around Tokyo in November? Thank you so much for helping me out. It will be my first visit to Japan and on the internet I can't find this info. Greetings from Holland, Marije
Mick Rich 78
Sadly there's not a lot of choice in November. Snow Town Yeti in Shizuoka is open but only has one, narrow run. If you want to watch rather than ride, there's a rails event going on in Tokyo on the 19th (Burton Rail Days) but you might not have enough time for that if you're flying out that day. To be honest, if it's your first time in Japan I'd recommend just checking out Tokyo - there's so much to do and see there!! Have fun!!

Metabo Oyaji 71
Besides Yeti (http://www.snowjapan.com/e/resorts/resortdetail.php?resid=291), another option at that time would be Karuizawa Prince Hotel ski area (http://www.snowjapan.com/e/resorts/resortdetail.php?resid=62). The closest to Tokyo would be Sayama, an indoor ski area.
