enderzero 0
I try to hot wax once every 5 times or so - but it usually ends up more like 10+. I can apply the wax in 5 minutes but I hate scraping the board. Usually spend 20-30mins. Anyone got a secret method for a quick effective scraping? I agree on letting the wax dry. I always try to let mine sit over night.
damian 0
someone from this forum (sorry, can't recal who) recommended this for a no-scraping-required waxing method. 1. use some heavy elbowgrease and rub the wax block onto the board base - like waxing a surfboard. 2. take your waxing iron and wrap it in a cottom tee-shirt 3. iron the base I am told that the resulting wax layer is so thing that it required no scraping. zwelgen 0
I wax em in the kitchen and get bits of wax everywhere. It sticks to everything, the windows, the cupboard doors, the sink, the taps...I vacume it up but my kitchen floor is super slippery now and its slowing spreading throughout the house, creeping slowly but surely towards the genkan. Ahh the advantages of living alone, wax anywhere you want
