10/11 Updates: SnowJapan iPad App

Today we have finally been able to release the iPad version of our SnowJapan App.

The App is now available to anyone using an Apple iPad connecting to the App Store.

The App is completely free and there are no ads. It is similar to the iPhone App, but of course on a larger scale and with the addition of a Photo Gallery. You can also view it in both of the portrait and landscape modes.

 

The App has 4 sections:

- Daily Reports

- Resorts

- Places to Stay

- Photo Gallery

 

As well as our daily reports, using the App you can pinpoint any ski resort on a map of Japan (or via listings), search for resorts, look through and search our Places to Stay listings.

 

There are also convenient links directly to the relevant pages on the main site and of course also to these Forums.

We have just been informed that the App doesn't seem to be available just yet on all App Stores around the world - available on some and not others. If you can't find it right now please do try a bit later as it should be popping up everywhere during today.

A few people have sent us comments about the iPad app at times being unstable and crashing. This only seem to be happening to some people and at certain times.

 

We are right now working on an updated version that will hopefully fix this situation along with a few other small issues.

 

We hope to have this new version uploaded within a few days but due to the App Store system it might take up to a few weeks before it is actually online and downloadable.... we will do what we can to have it online asap.
