10/11 Updates: Resorts Section

RESORTS SECTION

We have completely rebuilt our main Resorts section of the site.

 

On the main index page you will now notice a map of Japan complete with icons representing each prefecture. Click on an icon - or the links on below the map - to view a list of ski resorts in a prefecture, grouped together by town/village name.

 

You will also see a table of prefectures on the page complete with links to the following resources for each prefecture:

 

- snow resorts listed by town

- snow resorts in a list, sorted alphabetically

- reader resort reviews (submitted by readers)

- resort rankings (submitted by readers)

- photos (submitted by readers)

 

 

New Resort Search

The Search has been reworked and improved. Now, when you view results, the resorts are shown on a map of Japan as well as a list. If you search choose a Town and/or Prefecture (from the dropdown box), the map will be shown close up to that area. If you do not, a default map of Japan will be shown. Hint: if you know the prefecture or town you are searching on, choose it/them from the dropdown to get a better map!
