If me and 3 friends were to turn up start of november would we get jobs easily? how much is rent? would it be better to stay in a hostel kind of place for the season or would it be better to get a house? Most companies will have done their hiring by end of October with most staff arriving near the end of November, early December. I would start making contact with the major companies in town now and make sure you have your working holiday visa sorted. It is possible to try and find something if you just turn up but there's no guarantees except that it will probably be really crap work. Best to try and sort it out before getting here. Most jobs will come with accomm included and you can expect to pay around Y40,000 a month (more or less). Hirafu is not really the easiest place to just rent a house, there's bugger all available. The cheapest accomm is down in Kutchan but you'd really need a car to stay down there. You can pick up really cheap 2nd hand cars here though. You won't find a hostel cheaper than staff accomm I wouldn't think. Link to post Share on other sites
