Mantas 3
Can anyone recommend a heli ski out fit on the South island? Either in Canterbury or Queenstown region. Some interesting comments on that other thread about powder riding levels. Has anyone ever been to the 'Helipark' at Mount Potts?
Hotaka Scott 0
Alpine Guides is a guiding company in NZ that has a heliski operation (maybe 2) as well as offering mountaineering/climbing/backcountry skiiing (?) courses and guiding. I took their ski mountaineering course a few years back and was very pleased with the course and instructors. I can't vouch for the heliskiing operation though, but overall the company was very professional and courteous. I'm sure there's others out there with more info, but this may give you a spot to start your search. Hope you enjoy your trip and please let us know how it turns out. robbied 0
Harris mountain heli-ski are supposed to be good. I think they are the originals dating back to the 80's. In August im going heli-skiing in NZ too, not sure if it will be from QT or Wanaka yet.
