I was sitting at one of the little tables downstairs with a 500ml Weiss waiting for a friend to show up, and there were all these salarymen showing up, talking to the cashier, then disappearing upstairs. Once in a while, someone would come down and order something, then go back upstairs. By the time I tried reading the sign to figure out exactly what the deal was, my beer was gone and mysteriously my Nihongo comprehension level and reading ability had decreased to preschool levels!
