Chan Allan 0 Posted May 20, 2008 Share Posted May 20, 2008 I`m going to go to New Zealand this (Japanese) summer for about 10 days and wanted some advice from anyone who has skiied/boarded there and/or lives there. What is, in your opinion, the best place to go? Can you just go to somewhere like Queenstown and catch a bus to various slopes each day? Or is it better to stay at a resort closer to a slope? They were at Cardrona, and he said it was a bit of a pain doing the bus up to the slopes every day; winding roads and a long drive. But it hasn't stopped him going back this year - all booked in, and taking his younger brother as well. I do believe there is very little in the way of on mountain accomodation - it is mostly stay in the village and drive/bus up. Link to post Share on other sites
