ausi ski bum 1 Posted June 12, 2007 Author Share Posted June 12, 2007 Snowgums are a type of gum tree that only grows in the colder alpine regions, I have tried several times to grow them at home with no success so this must be true. They become very twisted with the weather an they have very colourful bark. Unfortunatly unlike most Australian gum trees they can not handle fire well and the bush fires this year and in 2003 have damaged many of these trees. They do grow again but from the base and to full size takes 30 to 50 years. Link to post Share on other sites
